Parnell Quarters' newest weekend market has opened.

The Market is located just outside of Buono's flagship deli store, with Buono stocking some of their own Italian delights, as well as providing a wide range of fresh produce and foods from local artisan producers

So, whether you're a Parnell local or someone who just loves quality deli products and seasonal produce, there will be something for everyone. Take a look around this website to find out more about our stallholders and to get a feel of what we have to offer.

Come on down to the Parnell Markets after you've finished that weekend shopping and take a seat at the outdoor tables or inside at Buono's cafe, enjoy a coffee and a delicious something from one of our stallholders, and just soak in the authentic and communal energy of the Market.

Background

Back in late 2021 the beloved La Cigale weekend farmers market closed down due to the closure of the La Cigale cafe, after the cafe went through a tough time with the COVID restrictions.

The owners of the cafe had been running the market for 24 years, each Saturday and Sunday in Parnell, and it was inspired by similar farmers markets all across France. The markets were seen as an intrinsic part of Auckland's foodie scene and their closure was a real blow to what had become a great institution.

After opening the doors to their Italian deli in late September of 2022, the team at Buono decided that Parnell, and Auckland at large, needed a place for foodies to come and enjoy the spoils of some of the best local producers.
